I am a partner of the corporate commercial team in the Edmonton  office of Dentons Canada LLP.  I am also the national chair of the firm's Technology Transactions legal group, and my practise is focused primarily on technology, intellectual property, privacy, data security, M&A and related commercial matters.  I have been associate general counsel at one of Canada's largest telecommunications companies (and a member of the executive team of its ISP subsidiary) and Canadian general counsel for a multinational software company based in California (and also a member of its Canadian executive team).  I have worked extensively with startup companies for 10+ years, and Dentons has been a strong supporter of Startup Edmonton and its ecosystem for that same period of time.  I enjoy working with entrepreneurial people and organizations and to help them navigate through legal issues on a practical level to achieve their business objectives.
