Wet-bench researcher (PhD, Physiology) turned Data Scientist (2016) turned entrepreneur (so far, startup 1: me 0). I spent the last 3 years in San Francisco where I co-founded a startup in the interior design space leveraging AI to automate certain parts of the design process (furniture-identification and matching from inspo photos with same or similar offerings from our over 2.5MM product database). I learnt a lot and found I really enjoy managing cross-function teams, nurturing a strong work ethic, celebrating progress that's measured in results while observing the importance of work-life balance. I'm looking forward to a new challenge in my home province of Alberta! Oh, and I love to meet new people and hear about what they are working on. : )
